What counts as an endpoint in my business network?

Any device that connects to your network or accesses your business data is an endpoint. This includes desktop computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets, printers, point-of-sale terminals and increasingly, IoT devices like smart thermostats or security cameras. Remote work has expanded the definition considerably — an employee’s home laptop accessing company email is an endpoint that requires the same level of protection as a workstation in your office.
